Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.

I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.

Workstation

  • MacBook Pro, M4, 128GB RAM (2024)

Upgraded from my old 2013 MacBook Pro. The performance is incredible with the M4 chip and massive 128GB of RAM. No portability compromises this time!

  • Apple Magic Trackpad

Something about all the gestures makes me feel like a wizard with special powers. I really like feeling like a wizard with special powers.

Development tools

  • Antigravity

My primary environment for coding. It's fast, fluid, and feels like the future of development.

  • Claude Code

An incredible AI-powered CLI tool that helps me navigate and edit large codebases with ease.

  • Gemini CLI

My go-to interface for interacting with Gemini directly from the terminal.

  • iTerm2 + oh my zsh + pk10

In my opinion, this is the best combination to have a nice looking and useful terminal.

Design

  • Google Stitch

I use Google Stitch for all my design work now. It's a powerful tool that integrates perfectly into my workflow.

Productivity

  • Obsidian

I use Obsidian as my second brain. It's where I store all my notes, ideas, and everything I want to remember.

  • Google Calendar

As simple as it sounds. I just use Google Calendar for scheduling meetings and managing my time.

  • Marinara: Pomodoro® Assistant

Simple tool to schedule focus time and breaks. Have you heard of the  Pomodoro Technique?
